RULES FOR ALL PARTICIPATING
J. C. P. CAMPERS
(2024)
The camping experience is a very special one. A lot of time and thought have gone into preparing the camping event you are to attend. The following rules have been put in place to ensure a more meaningful Christian camping atmosphere for all.
The consequences for misconduct may be as severe as being asked to leave camp early.
- In order for camp to be a fun and an enriching experience, all campers must be prepared to co-operate with and participate in the camping program.
- Respectful language and behavior is expected. Swearing will not be permitted.
- Event Directors and Counsellors will do their best to see that campers get sufficient sleep. There will be an evening curfew that we expect campers to follow.
- Event Directors are responsible for campers and staff safety while at JCP. The permission of the Event Director is required before leaving the JCP property.
- JCP property is a smoke free and an alcohol free environment. This will be strictly enforced.
- In order to protect the privacy of campers and staff, porches / decks, steps and cabin interiors of opposite gender cabins are out of bounds unless clearly authorized to be there for a program purpose. i.e. boys are not to be on the decks, steps, or interiors of a Girls Cabin and girls are not to be on the decks, steps, or interiors of a Boys Cabin.
- JCP camping events provide nutritious, tasty meals and snacks. Food in the cabins can attract both ants and rodents; therefore food in the cabins is not permitted.
- We take pride in JCP and wish to promote this with our campers and staff. Damaging camp property is not respectful and does not show pride in the facility. Please show your pride and respect by keeping the JCP property free of graffiti and other damage. Please leave all your markers at home.
- Cell phones, smart phones, iPods, electronic games and devices prevent campers from fully participating in the total camping program. These items are to be left at home.

LETTER TO PARENTS
(2024)
JCP All Seasons Office,
31 Donald Ave.,
Amherst, N.S.,
B4H 4A6,
March 20, 2024.
Dear Camper Parent,
Thank you for once again considering JCP as the summer camping home for your child in ’24.
The summer camping season for 2024 is indeed a special one. JCP first opened to serve
campers in 1954 and thus is celebrating its seventieth year. In a few cases JCP will have
hosted four generations of the same families on-site. That is something quite special!
Much has changed since 1954, regarding our facilities. We still continue to provide quality,
traditional programming, however, delivered primarily by a volunteer staff. This model
allows JCP to continue to offer the lowest known camper registration fees in our province.
JCP is pleased to announce that our fees remain at the low 2023 prices, for yet another year.
Once your camper application form and application fee is received by our Registrar it will be
processed and you will be promptly so advised by email. Later, in early June, you will receive
a confirmation letter, a health form, and other essential information from the respective
event director.
Increasingly it becomes more difficult to secure qualified volunteers staff. Therefore, in some
events camper numbers may have to be somewhat limited. You are strongly encouraged to
read through our application form and attached information, check out our JCP website at
www.jcpcamp.ca , determine if JCP is a good fit for your child (see our rules) and then apply.
You are strongly encouraged to complete the necessary paperwork promptly to help JCP with
its planning AND so your child is not disappointed this summer.
Again, thank you for selecting JCP as your child’s home-away-from-home this July. Looking
forward to greeting you at our campsite in South Range.
